COMMUNITY CLASSES ~ 2025

Beginning from Jan - June, the following Classes will be offered every Thursday evening. Beginning at 5:30PM, each Thursday, various classes will commence at 40 minutes in length. The time segments for classes (TBD) are as follows: 1st classes 5:30PM-6:10PM, 2nd Classes 6:15PM-6:45PM, 3rd Classes 6:50PM-7:30PM & 4th Class 7:35 - 8:15PM. Potentially, one person could take up to 4 classes if desired. A schedule of classes and their starting times will be announced by the beginning of each semester (Sept, Jan, April). If you or your family are interested in any of the following listed classes, please take note of the “Class Plan” prices near the bottom. For each student enrolling, please follow the link to our application form at the bottom. Please submit one form per student.

CLASSES & CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

This semester we want to emphasize, in several of our classes, the joy and benefit of the GENERATIONS working and playing together. Building friendships, in and out of the age group you are presently in, makes life fuller and richer and is a true treasure from Heaven!! Additionally, these classes are designed for you as a springboard into greater creativity (Co- creating with the Creator) in the area of your interests and passions.

BEGINNER SIGN LANGUAGE: (ages 8-adult) (6-7 yr old if accompanied by adult) Casual Family Style! Sit and sign. Through total communication, games, practical life application, and worship songs... you’ll be amazed at how many signs you’ll learn! Fun and Fellowship and Sign Language! Intro to ASL.

SPONTANEOUS LYRICISM: (ages 10-adult) Do you want to be able to write lyrics on the spot? Improve your freestyle singing? Then this is the class for you. Using the analysis of spontaneous worship leading, free poetry, and freestyle rap, we will achieve quality results on the spot. This will be a hands on class, working with our peers to become better lyricists and improve our SPONTANEITY!

COMMUNITY CHOIR: (ages 10 - adult) In our Queen City Performing Arts Choir, students will have the opportunity to participate with an ensemble of singers while learning a variety of repertoire. We will sing in rounds, harmonize, utilize solfège, play fun ear training games, discuss singing technique, and work on what it means to truly sing “together”. Getting to use your voice to be part of a bigger, unified sound is one of the most rewarding experiences. All levels of experience are welcome!

SPANISH IMMERSION: (ages 7 - adult) (5-6 if accompanied by adult) This class focuses on actually having conversations Spanish as we learn. Whether you are a new beginner or if you’re an intermediate student that needs to practice their speaking and listening skills, this course is recommended for you!

BREAKDANCE: (ages 4+) We will be learning all about the five parts of Breaking: Toprock, Downrock, Drops, Power-moves, and Freezes! Breaking is part of Hip-Hop culture, “Hip” meaning having intelligence and “Hop” meaning movement.

BEGINNER GUITAR: (ages 5 - adult) (4 -5 considered based on maturity level) Come and be a part of learning basic movement techniques on the guitar and general musical knowledge that is important for developing any new musician. For parents of 5-7 yr olds.. although it is typical in the US to wait til age 7, other countries have seen much success starting youth at a younger age if they are showing interest.

KARATE ~ ISSHIN RYU: (ages 4+) The style of karate that started in Okinawa. The Japanese translates to “the one heart method”. Keeping true with the name, we will be focusing on how to be respectful and passionate students while wholeheartedly studying this martial art.

    1-5 Class(es) of choice @ $10.00 per class/per week. (full semester must be prepaid)

    6-10 Classes of choice @ $8.00 per class/per week. (full semester must be prepaid)

  • Gold Plan

    11 + Classes of choice @ $6.00 per class/per week. (full semester must be prepaid)
